Deliberately Create The Job You Really Want!

The representation of Black women in leadership positions in the Workplace is not a reflection of the workplace demographics in South Africa. The Annual Commission for Employment Equity report consistently show a slow progress in the representation of Black Women in leadership position. The global picture is no different as is reported in the LeanIn.org and Mckenzie women in the Workplace report. There are a number of factors that contributes to this problem which include bias and discrimination at the intersection of gender, race and anti-bias, societal condition and expectations of Black women be ‘good girls’ who play small and eat last at the office.
